Re: DUBYA'S COMMENTS

Everyone that was wiretapped was trashed, privacy/homes by the tap, freedom of speech by the fact they were not allowed to speak freely, right to trial, as terrorists each time they were violated. Sword gets sharp don't it? Now should Bush have to answer why he allowed members of the bin Lauden family to be flown out of the country while ALL flights were grounded, after 9/11/01? Was this not treason as these folks might have been terrorists also, not even questioning them?

It's the government...They only thing they care about is pading their pockets regardless of what the common folk have to endure...Always been that way and always will be...What we need to do it vote these idiots out and put in some common folk but then again money runs the elections so that will never happen.
Take em one at a time and everything else will take care of itself.

Re: DUBYA'S COMMENTS

The Patriot Act? It was passed by our elected congress so how can it be a violation of our rights if it is written law?

The wiretapping was made possible by the FISA. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. Congress also passed this. So if what Bush ordered was unconstitutional then the Congress as a whole is unconstitutional itself if that is possible.

and who controls Congress??

they'd pass a law that stated "all minority senators must be executed, it's a matter of national security" if Dubya sponsored it

gcdev, I remembered someone a while back saying you were the campain coordinator or something to that effect for barrack obama...
do you think he'll be a legitimate presidential candidate, vp, something...?
I've researched him minimally and like what I've seen so far.

haha im not actually in case that is what you mean...im a big supporter, but have no affiliation with the guy

i think he is one of the frontrunners for now, if not this election, then in 2012

i would think Hillary, Warner, Edwards and even Kerry again are up there with him to get the democratic nomination...of course Al Sharpton will run again, but he won't win and we all know that

Re: DUBYA'S COMMENTS

I'm the one that gave gcdevil that moniker--I think he's the biggest proponent of Obama I've seen out of all the more liberal people I know. I like him a lot too...but gcdevil thought Obama should have had the nomination this past time instead of Kerry, or at least he talked like it...

I feel a ticket with Warner & Obama would be damn hard to beat.

haha yeah i do like me some Obama

a Warner and Obama ticket could do a lot of things geographically...it could pull VA to the democrats side and Obama could help a lot with the Midwest, not to mention rally the minorities
